Fairhavens Babies Home children’s Christmas party

December was a hive of activity for Fairhavens Babies Home. Kaveri, a lady from Kiddies WoW WoW Parties, had a desire to throw a themed party for the orphaned children.

Immediately she posted her plan onto her Facebook page, saying: “WoW WoW Parties wants to plan a kids PARTY for ORPHANS. – an orphanage in the greater DURBAN area with limited resources and exposure would be ideal”.

Within minutes of posting her plans, numerous supporters gathered round online and the party started to take place. Each month, as the plans began to unfold, Wow Wow Parties continued to post their feedback online for the supporters to follow which resulted in 25 families coming together to celebrate at the home.

Fairhavens Babies Home children's Christmas partySo in December, Wow Wow Parties had the privilege to celebrate the adoption of two Fairhavens babies and they spared no expense. The Fairhavens babies and toddlers got VIP treatment with all the frills and fancies; from party decor, balloons, fancy cupcakes, presents and books, to jumping castles, and even children’s rides.

Fairhavens is always in need of generous hearts like Wow Wow Parties, particularly in financial contributions.

In December, Fairhavens celebrated the adoptions of two babies. Baby P arrived at Fairhavens as a prem baby, after being handed over for adoption by her mother at one of the hospitals in Durban. She stayed at Fairhavens for about one year before being adopted by a loving family last month.

Baby S arrived at Fairhavens, nine months ago and was found wandering around a shopping centre, abandoned by her mother. She will be celebrating her 3rd birthday this year, with a loving family from South Africa.
